Women attach the weight to their veil to secure it during sandstorms.
Decorative elements of brass, yellow and red copper are applied on a tin metal back.
Copper is a special metal as it is valued for its supernatural properties.
Silver adorns the lower area of the veil weight as well as the leather strip.
