The activity along the banks of the Niger River in the city of Mopti in Mali. Pinnaces used to transport people, animals and goods are pulled up along the banks of the river. Various ethnic groups, such as the Peul, Bamana, Bozo gather here to trade and barter their good and animals. This activity is centuries old and held weekly. People come from all over he region to take part in this special market day.
