Description

Tuareg pectoral amulets necklace on a twisted leather strand.
Worn by the Tuareg Iwellemmeden Kel-Denneg and the Azawagh of Niger.
The amulets enclose Koranic writings or mystical script prepared by the marabout or holy man.
They will afford protection to the wearer and help bring about good things.
Pronounced usage patina of age and wear.
Collected in Niger.
