A finely rendered Senoufo seated couple made of brass.
Created by the lost wax process, whereby a model is created in beeswax and then surrounded by a hand-shaped clay mould. After casting and hardening of the metal, the mould is destroyed, resulting in an original and unique piece.
Late 20th century – Collected in Ivory Coast.
