Description
This very old Tuareg silver amulet ring represents the camel’s saddle.
The four raised extremities frame a flat central area, two inverted triangles adorn the sides, the center is plain with markings.
Tuareg jewelry is characteristically simple in form, possessing a profuse repertoire of symbols. Aside from being wonderfully decorative, Tuareg jewelry from the Sahara is worn as a protective amulet.
