Lobi mating chameleons amulet made of copper alloy.
Amulets of mating chameleons are worn to encourage the birth of children.
This old amulet has a side worn smooth from contact with its wearer’s skin.
Cast by lost wax, nice developed patina.
Early to mid 20th century.
Collected in Burkina Faso.
