This outstanding Fulani silver ring is remarkable both for its size and weight.
Worn by men but sometimes given to a woman in sign of friendship, this lavish ring was certainly destined for someone special and was reserved for ceremonies and other important occasions.
Gentle usage patina, mid 20th century – collected in Mali.
