Description

A strand of ancient carnelian, quartz and rock crystal tabular diamond-shaped beads.
Beads have been hand drilled and the resulting funnel shaped hole is visible in each bead.
The strand includes one (12 faceted) Idar-Oberstein bead.
Beads sizes range from 18 mm to 25 mm in length and 10 mm to 20 mm in width.
Condition is very good with some minor nicks due to the great age of these beads. 
Estimated to be over 1000 years old, these beads were collected in Mali.

Length of strand: 66 cm (26 inches) long, excluding cotton twine.
