Tribal Leather Amulet Waist Belt Grigri, Mali

Description

This authentic and tribal worn leather grigri amulet belt possesses magical powers, intended to protect its wearer from evil and to bring him or her luck.
An inscription with verses from the Qur’an or a blend of magical herbs may be enclosed as the amulet. 
This grigri belt, as are all protective amulets, was worn hidden from the eyes of onlookers so as to preserve its magical powers.
A button-like closure secures the belt.
Collected in a village on the outskirts of Segou in Mali.
