Various animals relating to myth such as the lizard or cayman, the serpent, the turtle, the chameleon are subjects depicted by the Lobi.
This type of small amulet with suspension loop was worn by a child, and has become more and more difficult to find in the past few years as these amulets are becoming collectible.
This piece from the mid 20th century has a rich patina, and was collected in Burkina Faso.
