Superb and rare pair of tribally worn silver Tsabit or Tizabaten hoops with an attractive twist design.
Traditionally worn by young Tuareg girls, who by the time they reach adulthood, will have enlarged their ear holes to be able to wear the very large tsabit.
Jewelry makes up a Tuareg woman’s movable wealth as it is easily transported from place to place.
Silver content of these hoops is close to pure.
Excellent patina, mid 20th century – Collected in Niger.
