A Tuareg silver ring inset with a hand-cut carnelian agate from Idar-Oberstein.
The decorated setting holds the banded agate stone and the band has an elaborate pattern.
Agate has the power to heal and avert the evil eye. It is also a regulator of blood flow.
Late 20th century – Collected in Mali.
