Description
Tuareg camel milk ladle from Ayourou in north-western Niger.
Wealthier families use these ladles, as the number of cattle determine wealth.
Traditionally, the village chief and his wife serve camel milk during important festivities.
The ladle has a wood handle and is finely adorned with hand tooled aluminium, copper and brass.
