Fulani women have long been renowned for their elaborate jewellery, which reflects both personal adornment and social status.
Pendants of this substantial type were traditionally worn close to the neck and were reserved for women of wealth and high standing.
Handcrafted in high-grade silver, this impressive pendant is decorated with finely engraved geometric and symbolic motifs characteristic of Fulani metalwork.
Its considerable weight and elegant proportions make it an outstanding example of traditional West African jewellery.
