Description
A small group of five selected and graduated early Dutch glass beads, dating to the 17th-18th century.
Due to exposure to the natural elements and burial in the desert sands, once clear in colour, the beads have altered in colour over the centuries. Colours are ice to frosty white to a pale mauve and an amethyst mauve.
Superb patina resulting from burial and normal surface erosion – Collected in Mali.
