Description

Tuareg Agadez silver tcherot (amulet pendant) from Niger.

Finely engraved and decorated with seven repoussé dome elements, this amulet was traditionally worn for protection.

The suspension loops and corner tips are brass, while the reverse is sheet metal.

Maker’s signature engraved on backside in Tifinagh script.
