Description

Dogon leather belt embellished with cowrie shells and five large mirrors.
Worn as a protective amulet by hunters of both the Dogon and Bambara ethnic groups.
Excellent condition.
Late 20th century – Collected in Mali.

Width including cowrie shells: 15 cm (6″)
Adjustable to 71-97 cm (28-38″) for waist or hip
