Description

Tuareg head tcherot (ta n eghaf) comprising a set of five tcherot amulets from Kidal, Mali.
Reserved for warriors and nobles, these amulets traditionally enclosed Koranic writings intended to provide protection to the wearer.
Woven cotton coverings and dark indigo-dyed strands create a striking ensemble.
Authentic and complete with signs of age and use.
