Eight antique Venetian six layer chevron beads.
Also know as blue Moretti chevron beads, they were produced in Murano, Italy in the early 1900’s.
Carefully selected and matched, all of the beads in the graduated are in exceptional and pristine condition.

Widths: 15mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 22mm

About Venetian Chevron Beads (Early 1900s)
Murano artisans continued producing Venetian chevron trade beads into the early 20th century for the African trade. Although later in date, these beads retained the same guarded production methods and high level of craftsmanship.

Consequently, chevron beads maintained their cultural importance in West Africa, where leaders wore them to signify power, wealth, and social standing.
Their aged surfaces and signs of use add depth, authenticity, and collector appeal.
