Description
Strand of 19 large Venetian King trade beads in black, yellow, blue, and white glass.
Produced in Venice during the mid to late 19th century for the African trade, these wound glass beads are among the most recognizable and sought-after Venetian trade bead types.
The beads display varying degrees of age-related wear, including surface erosion and pitting acquired through use and circulation.
Four beads remain in excellent condition, preserving their original glossy surface and vibrant decoration. The remaining beads retain strong visual appeal and contribute to the character and authenticity of the strand.
Temporarily restrung on nylon thread.
