A small colourful antique Turkestan plate with a vibrant leaf design.
Once part of a tableware set, the decorative style has Oriental influences.
These plates are stacked and fired on tripods in a kiln.
The tripods allow each piece to bake evenly, a feature of their durability.
Rich patina, good condition with hairline firing crack, 19th century – Turkestan, Central Asia
