Description
A strand of sixty-nine (69) very early Dutch wound glass trade beads, dating to the 17th-18th century.
There is a rich range of colours, resulting from centuries of burial and exposure to natural elements in the desert.
Graduated in size, the beads range from 10 mm to 20 mm in diameter and 7 mm to 18 mm in length.
Superb patina, iridescence and frosting from burial.
Normal surface erosion.
Collected in Mali.
