Inner Niger Delta terracotta vessel with upturned lip.
The deep red burnished slipware is characteristic of ancient terracotta objects from the region of Timbuktu.
Old patch on underside.
Normal surface erosion from burial, circa 13th-15th century AD. – Collected in Mali.
