Guimbala copper alloy ring with an oxidised vert-de-gris patina.
Centuries ago, an ancient civilisation prospered and disappeared near lake Tanda in north-east Mali.
A sophisticated artistic metal working tradition prospered in this area of the Inner Niger River Delta.
Pre 15th century with encrusted deposits.
Collected in Mali.
