Description

A richly coloured strand of ancient excavated glass beads from Mali.
Commonly known as ‘Djenne beads’,  these ancient beads, approximately 1000 years old, are covered by a rich iridescence resulting from burial in the desert sands.
This strand includes an ancient lozenge shaped metal bead, rare yellow glass beads and an Islamic period five layer green chevron bead.

Sizes range from: 3mm to 8mm in diameter and 3mm to 10mm in length.
Strand is 60 cm (24 inches) long
