Description
A superb strand of ancient excavated glass beads from Mali.
Commonly known as ‘Djenne beads’ these beads have been found “in situ” and were later strung on nylon thread.
There is a rich range of colors going from a rare yellow to all shades of blue, some red and an ancient brick red tabular jasper bead.
Bead sizes range from: 2mm to 7mm in diameter and 3mm to 13mm in length and are approximately 1000 years old.
Collected in Mali.
