Description

African amulet grigri belt worn on the waist.
The grigri encloses Koranic verses or a blend of magical herbs, affording protection to its wearer.
The wearer of the belt wears it hidden from the eyes of onlookers.
A double button-like closure secures the grigri belt.
Authentic and worn, the amulet belt contains three amulet bundles.
Collected in a Bambara village on the outskirts of Segou in Mali.
