Description

Dogon Binu Duge necklace, made of hand-forged iron.
At its centre is an ancient quartz stone, the ‘duge’.
Binou or Lebe priests, wear this special necklace.
Their ancestor was converted into a serpent and they no longer live as ordinary mortals.
These priests use their unique skills to communicate with the spirit world.
Collected in the region of Sangha Dogon Cliffs, Mali.
