Tuareg silver anklet or khalkhal from Mali.
Khalkhal (khelkhel) in tamascheq, are the impressive anklets worn by Tuareg women.
Large knobs at either end are powerful amulets to ward off the evil eye.
Outstanding patina resulting from wear and age.
Early 20th century.
