Old Tuareg silver hamsa amulet (“Hand of Fatima”), backed on leather.
The hamsa is a protective symbol associated with protection against the evil eye and harmful influences. This form of amulet was traditionally worn by both Tuareg and Bella communities of the Sahara and Sahel regions.
Authentic example with rich usage patina.
