Description
Antique natural amber beads from Morocco of rich deep honey and butterscotch colours.
Amber, a form of portable wealth, could be traded in times of need.
The Baltic region, the likely source for amber to the Maghreb, would be incorporated into jewelry along with silver, coral and amazonite.
The beads from the 19th century are in very good used condition with wear and a rich patina.
Temporarily strung and ready for use in jewellery creations.
