Traditional Bambara grigri amulet belt from Mali, composed of multiple protective bundles attached to a woven cord.
Such belts were worn around the waist as protective adornments and reflect long-standing spiritual and cultural traditions of the Bambara people.
The amulet bundles were believed to provide protection and good fortune to the wearer.
Collected in a Bambara village on the outskirts of Segou in Mali.
