Venetian trade beads and phenolic resin amber combine in a colourful strand.
The classic ‘tire’ shape late 1800 Venetian glass beads have wavy lines and ‘eyes’ in red, yellow and white, set in a black matrix.
Early 1900 phenolic resin amber beads, traded in Africa, are of European origin.
