Two Large Vintage Phenolic Resin Amber Beads, Africa

Description

These two large phenolic resin faux amber beads have obtained a warm butterscotch color over the years.
Greatly appreciated by the Fulani women of West Africa, these beads were produced in the early 1900’s and made to resemble real amber.
Both beads are in excellent condition, one displaying beautiful age cracking.
Warm patina – Collected in Mali.
