Two Leather Amulet Arm Bracelets, Mali

Description

Two authentic and tribal worn grigri amulet arm bangles with magical powers, were worn as protective amulets. They were intended to protect the wearer from evil and to bring him luck.
Verses from the Qur’an inscribed on paper and rolled up, or a blend of magical herbs may be enclosed as the amulets.
These grigri bangles, as are all protective amulets, are worn hidden from the eyes of onlookers so as to preserve their magical powers.
Collected in a village on the outskirts of Segou in Mali.
