Description

A magic grid gives a mystical look to this Tuareg silver ring.   
The flat face, divided into a grid of 30 compartments, these may allude to the Kaballah, with the cube-shaped structure being Mecca, the most sacred site for Muslims.
The cube-shaped structure measures 1,5 cm x 1,5 cm, the sides 2 cm x 1,9 cm.
The interior of the cavity may enclose Koranic verses that provide protection to the wearer of this ring.
Excellent patina, mid 20th century – Collected in Mali.
